Five areas: (1) Identity and voice — does your SOUL.md give the agent a clear operating principle, or is it vague enough to be ignored? (2) Memory architecture — are you retaining what matters and discarding what doesn't? (3) Tool and permission configuration — what can your agent do that you don't intend? (4) Cron and heartbeat design — is it proactive by design, or only reactive? (5) Safety guardrails — what's the blast radius if something goes wrong?
